Zanzibar's Number One Sea Adventure
Safari Blue is a full-day excursion that takes you through the stunning Menai Bay Conservation Area. Sailing on a traditional wooden dhow, you will discover uninhabited islands, pristine sandbanks, and vibrant coral reefs. It is more than just a boat trip; it’s a day of total indulgence in the Indian Ocean.
Your day begins at the village of Fumba, the gateway to the Menai Bay. You'll board a hand-crafted dhow and set sail across the turquoise waters. Keep an eye out for humpback and bottlenose dolphins which are frequently spotted in this area.
We stop at a pristine white sandbank where you can relax, sunbathe, and enjoy fresh tropical fruits. Afterwards, dive into the crystal-clear water for a guided snorkeling session at one of the bay's best coral reefs, teeming with exotic fish.
Arrival at Kwale Island for a world-class Swahili seafood BBQ lunch. Feast on slipper lobster, grilled fish, calamari, and chicken served with coconut rice. The meal is followed by a tropical fruit tasting and traditional Zanzibar coffee.
Explore the island's interior to see a massive, 500-year-old fallen Baobab tree that is still thriving! We also visit a hidden mangrove lagoon where you can swim in the emerald waters (depending on the tide).
